About the Mission

The Kenya High Commission was established in Ottawa in 1978 with a Mandate to promote, project and protect the image and the interests of Kenya and Kenyans in Canada. This is in addition to strengthening political, cultural and socio-economic relations between the two countries. On trade, the Mission’s objective is to identify markets for Kenyan products as well as encourage Canadians to invest in Kenya. On tourism, the Mission’s objective is to promote and portray Kenya as an attractive tourist destination.

The Mission was accredited to Havana in 2002 with the purpose of carrying out similar functions with regard to Cuba.
