Kenya’s High Commissioner to Canada H.E. John L. Lanyasunya made a one day visit to Toronto on 25th May 2014 on invitation by the President of Aga Khan Council for Canada Mr. Malik Talib to attend the Inauguration ceremony of the new Aga Khan Park in Toronto. The Function was well attended by senior officials of the government of Canada, Representatives of the Diplomatic Corps and members of the civil society.
The Premier of Toronto, Honourable Kathleen O’Day Wynne addressed the participants before His Highness the Aga Khan gave his inauguration address.
The Park is among three major projects undertaken by the Aga Khan in Toronto. The other two projects are the recently opened Ismaili Centre and the Aga Khan Museum
